Double Breasted Vest

Finished another item for Dave's Cowboy Santa look. This is a double breasted Virgina City style western vest from the late 1800's/early 1900's.

It has 2 tab pockets instead of the usual 4 (2 on each side), as he doesn't use the pockets that much anyway other than for his pocket watch.

Sea Side Santa

Your great vests make me think. Instead of roasting, in the mall, in a hat, jacket, pants and boots I could hang the coat on the back of Santa's chair and work in a light weight white shirt and light weight vest. Is cotten velveteen best for the outside? What would be the lightest lining fabric?
