When my youngest daughter was 9, she wanted to videotape Santa delivering gifts. She set her little camera up and the old man made sure she got her video. Kept the magic alive for 4 more years.

This 1945 movie short (22 min) won the Academy Award in 1946 for best short subject film. It is a simple, but very touching retelling of the Nativity Story, set in the American Southwest. I found it as an added feature on my Christmas in Connecticut DVD. Did I mention it was very touching? (It brought tears to my eyes)

Made in 1898, G.A. Smith's 'Santa Claus' is a film of considerable technical ambition and accomplishment for its period. It uses pioneering visual effects in its depiction of a visit from St. Nicholas. A former magic lanternist and hypnotist, Smith was one of the first British film-makers to make extensive use of special effects to create fantastical scenes. It comes as little surprise that Smith corresponded with the French pioneer Georges Méliès at about this time, as the two men shared a common goal in terms of creating an authentic cinema of illusion. Full movie A Muppet Family Christmas was a 1-hour tv special that broadcast originally in 1987 and was re-broadcast in 1988 & 1989. This video is from one of the rebroadcasts because the title card is displayed when the Muppets are driving in the truck to Fozzie's Mom's house. For more information on the movie, check out the Muppets Wiki page for the film here.

For the past 12 Christmas Eves, we have answered the wishes of children staying at the Salvation Army Children's Shelter in Kansas City. Every year before we enter the Shelter, I thank everyone for their hard work and contributions to The Mission. This was Christmas Eve 2018.

Very well done video - a lot of research went into presenting this historically accurate narrative of the Christmas truce. I believe it was done by the BBC. Very educational. Also of note - the commanding officers, well back from the trenches - were against the truce. This included one Corporal Adolph Hitler.....

from the Amazing Stories series back in 1985 - Douglas Searle playing Santa - I would be remiss to point out that this gentleman also played Santa in Ernest Saves Christmas - and he got busted and went to jail in both shows !! The original Bad Santa - Mr. Searle also voice the Sultan in the Disney animated feature Aladdin . . .

It's a Wonderful Red Green Christmas This show was so ridiculous - the characters were all so unique and absurd - this was the first Christmas show of the series - including how to make a sleigh out of a K-car, how Santa is an average normal guy, what Harold hates more than fruitcake, and Edgar Montrose demonstrates his Holiday Howitzer Special to decorate a tree - if that doesn't scream Merry Christmas, what does??

Ever got a Christmas gift that was so bad you didn't know what to do and how to react? We have, so we got Benedict Cumberbatch to teach us how act like you absolutely love that rubbish pair of socks your auntie gave you, ahead of his starring role in The Grinch this Christmas.
