All Is Calm: The Christmas Truce of 1914

By Drosselmeyer, 03/01/2020

Hopefully this is the link to the opening track of the playlist for the soundtrack - This musical was on Broadway for a brief run in 2018.  It is a retelling of the events up to, during, and after the truce - as told by journal entries, diaries, and letters of the men that were there.  Interspersed with songs of the era. Very compelling and moving.  I find it interesting that they keep the British call to war, but block the parallel German track for being offensive.  A very dramatic presentation of real history - and the power of Christmas.  Very interesting listen.
